Q: Do I need a filter for each oven in a stacked column?
A: Yes, you will need one filter for each oven in the column.
Q: Do I need an internet kit for each oven in a stacked column?
A: Yes, you will need one kit for each oven.
Q: Can I stack gas on gas?
A: Yes, but you can only have a 7 or 5 grid as the top oven.
Q: Can I stack gas on top of electric and electric on top of gas?
A: Yes, these are both possible. You will require a gas stacking kit if the gas oven is on the bottom. Electric stacking kit if the gas oven is on the top.
Q: Can I fit a steam condensing hood to a gas oven?
A: No, the hoods are only compatible with the electric ovens. The gas ovens must be positioned under an extract canopy.
Q: Do I need to position the oven under a canopy?
A: No, if the oven is fitted with the steam condensing hood it does not need to be under a canopy.
Q: How do I know if the oven needs a filter or a reverse osmosis unit?
A: This depends on the water conditions of the site area. We would generally recommend a filter if the water hardness is greater than 8dH and a reverse osmosis unit for areas with water high in chlorites.
Q: Do I have to use Unox chemicals and if so which?
A: We always recommend using the Unox chemicals as they have been developed specifically for our ovens. For the CHEFTOP and BAKERTOP MIND.Maps™ the Det&Rinse PLUS DB1015 comes in concentrated 1 litre containers. For the CHEFTOP and BAKERTOP Series 5E and LINEMISS TOP ovens the DET&Rinse DB1016 comes in 5 litre containers. If you choose not to use the Unox Det&Rinse for the MIND.Maps ovens this needs to be specified on order and the oven will be modified at the Unox warehouse before delivery.
Q: Why has my Unox oven filled up with water?
A: Check the waste outlet and strainer are free of any debris. Check there are no kinks in the waste hose. Check that the main waste plumbing is not blocked.
Q: Why is my Unox oven not washing?
A: Check that the water supply is connected and the isolator valve is switched on. Check that the water supply has not been turned off further along the water line. Check that there is a suitable supply of detergent.
Q: What do I need to remember when ordering an Unox oven?
